NICK ELSTER, STAFF ELDER
Many years ago I was blessed to be able to marry my High School sweetheart. We have 3 Children and 6 wonderful Grandchildren. I became a Christian on December 8th 1975, a faithful brother I used to work with witnessed to me. At the time the Lord had been dealing with me for a number of years. I asked the Lord into my heart that night at work and my life has been different ever since, thanks to the Lord and that faithful brother.
We came to Sierra Reach in the summer of 2003. A home group I had been leading was looking for another place to fellowship after we had lost the Pastor of our Church. One of our members attended a service at Sierra Reach, told us about it, and we have been here ever since.
Prior to becoming a Staff Elder at Sierra Reach I worked for 27 years in the Semiconductor industry as an Equipment Maintenance and Production Supervisor. After retiring in 2012 I became a Staff Elder at Sierra Reach. As a staff Elder I function as a state certified CORI for confidential administrative issues within the Church, I play in and help to oversee the worship team, I lead a home group and I also help with men’s ministry development and oversight. I am a former Chaplain for Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.
My favorite Bible verse is Philemon verse 6 which say's, “That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” (KJV)
